This was my first glimpse of the little barn on the property that I wanted to buy in Sicily. I needed to send photos to John, who was busy shooting weddings back in Fiji. What would he think? How could I make it look bigger? Would he go for it? The property was beautiful, 3.8 hectares (about 9.5 acres). Covered with old stone terraces, over a hundred and twenty olive trees, eighty carob trees and many almond and fruit trees. The little old barn sat high on a hill with an incredible view. I was smitten. I needed a plan…quick!
